Sustainability
Here at Kaikōura fishing tours we are all about sustainability, that’s why we have started planting trees to offset our carbon footprint.
By planting trees, we are not only just reducing our carbon footprint, we are also helping restore the soil health and reduce silt flow to the river on our farm. We are also planting shelter belts, which help the stock weather the winter storms and also help to absorb carbon. Our next project is plant out the 2 Hectare waterway so the native birds can return to a safe environment and the flaxes and grasses can act as a filter to stop silt and land runoff from entering the oceans.
